PARENTS - YOU ARE TRULY GODS BLESSINGS TO US

Parent's day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of July every year. This festival honours mothers and fathers for their devotion and sacrifices made to provide a secure and promising future for their children. Every family needs to remember that a family needs God, the Almighty. God’s presence not only guides every family but also binds them together.

The celebration began with a Eucharistic celebration at 8:15 AM and at 9:30 AM by the Sunday School and the vibrant Don Bosco Youth, post which the Sunday School children put together a cultural programme to let the parents know that they are TRULY GODS BLESSINGS TO US which was fabulous. The children displayed their artistic talents by preparing colourful cards which they handed to their parents the programme. This, indeed was a token of love and appreciation for their parents.

The comperes indeed did a great job and kept the momentum going. Hat’s off to them. The welcome speech given by Fr. Ronnie was very personalized for all the parents. The welcome song brought out the theme of love to parents in a magnificient way. The medley of action songs like ‘Rise and Shine’ & ‘give God its Glory’…still rings in my ears. The skit performed by the catechist kept everyone wanting for more. It was filled with humor and message to all. A beautiful and spontaneous skit which conveyed the message of how a family that prays together stays together.

And last but not the least, the dance performed by the confirmation students was mind blowing and brought out the glory of God.

Eventually the vote of thanks by Lelith wound up the short program which was put together by the Sunday School.

Thanks to all the great parents who made this year’s Parents Day, a tremendous success.
