Parish Notices 2nd November, 2008.

31st Sunday of the Liturgical Year


Friday, 7th November is the First Friday of the month. We shall be having the adoration and inner healing service as usual in the Church after the evening Mass.


Tomorrow / today, Sunday 2nd Nov. is All Souls Day. We shall be having the 8.15 a.m. Mass also. In the evening at 5.30, there will be a Mass in the Cemetery followed by blessing of Graves. We shall also have 5.30 p.m. Mass as usual in the church. Since there are too many Mass intentions, they will not be read before the mass. But a copy of the same will be put up on the notice board as well as at the Altar.


A golden opportunity to get to know the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ through the Bible Awareness Week to be held in our Parish from 2nd November to 9th November, 2008. The Week will be inaugurated with the Eucharistic Celebration and homily at 5.30 p.m. During the rest of the days the Mass and the input session will be as usual at 7.00 p.m. The daily programme will consist of celebration of Eucharist with a homily followed by a programme of one and a half hour after the Mass. There will also be an exhibition on the Bible right through the week.


We request you to pray for the recent blast victims of Assam and for peace and harmony in that State and country.


There will be a rally for Communal Harmony and Peace, organized by the Bombay Catholic Sabha on Saturday, November 15th at 3.00 p.m. The rally will be held at shivaji Park, Dadar West. The rally would include citizens of all Communities in their struggle against fundamentalism, regionalism, Communalism and terrorism.


The Parish Council will meet today, 1st November, after the evening Mass.

Thanks to Mrs. Delsie D’silva and her team from Gorai I “C” zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.


Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Mrs. Luia D’souza and her team from Gorai I “B” zone.

The Mission Fete collection, after meeting all the expenses, amounted to Rs.1,72,023/-


Last Sunday’s collection was Rs. 24,889/-. God bless you for your generosity.
