3rd Sunday of Easter




Tomorrow/Today 6th April 2008. after the 8.00 am Children’s Mass there will be a half-day session for children who are to receive 1st Holy Communion. The children will be accompanied with their parents for the same.


Confessions for these children and their parents will be on Friday 11th April 2008 from 5.00 pm onwards. Please be in time.


There will be a meeting of all those who belong to Chickoowadi zone which is now attached to our Parish on Sunday 6th April at 6.30 p.m. in the A.V. Hall. At least one member from each family must be present. We expect all parishioners residing at Chickoowadi, who, out of convenience, were earlier attending meetings at St. Anne’s Zone, to attend this meeting.


We shall be having a meeting of members of St. Anne’s Zone soon. You will be informed about the date in due course of time.


All students of Std. VII and above, who are interested in joining Fr. Brian’s various camps, are requested to contact the Parish Priest.


The Salesian cooperators of St. John Bosco Parish are organizing a Konkani Drama entitled “Duddvanchem Sukh” on 8th April, 2008. Tickets are available outside the Church. Kindly patronize them in their effort to mobilize funds for various charitable activities.


DBYM will meet tomorrow/today 6th April 2008 after the 9.15 am Mass in the multipurpose Hall


The Blessed Sacrament Chapel will remain closed for a week from 7th to 12th April for renovation work. For your personal prayer kindly use the main Church.


Next Sunday 13th April 2008, we shall be having the children’s Mass as usual. In case you are not related to any of those who are receiving first Holy Communion, please try to come for the 8.00 am Mass to avoid overcrowding for the Communion Mass

Being the year of the Word of God, We have put up banners outside as well as inside the church. While some of the quotes are very inspiring, you could make a note of them and everytime you see the banners it should remind you if you have read the word of God today. We shall change the banners every month.


The Blessing of the houses of Chickoowadi and St. Anne’s Zone have been completed. I would like to thank all those who took time out to accompany me around.


Unfortunately due to the ill health of Fr. Steve, we could not keep to the proposed schedule of House Blessing. There are just 2 zones left. The blessings will be done on the following days :

  1. Gorai II D Zone – Fr Ronnie on Monday 7th April from 6 pm onwards

  2. Goari II D Zone – Fr Allwyn and Fr Ronnie on Wednesday 9th April

7th April Gorai III at the residence of Mrs Philomena Rodrigues

8th April Gorai I at the residence of Mrs. Alice Lobo

9th April Yogi South at the residence of Mr. Stephen D’Souza

9th April Vazira at the residence of Mrs. Sylvia Kelley

10th April New MHB at the residence of Mr. Sebastian Palha

11th April Old MHB at the residence of Mr. Robert D’Souza

11th April Babhai at the residence of Mr. Lawerence Rebello


Thanks to Mr. Lawrence Ambrose and his team from Gorai I ‘D’ zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.


Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Mr. Depak Bansode and his team from Gorai II “A” zone.


The Parish Council will meet on Saturday, 5th April, after the evening Mass.

Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs.17,933/-
