10th Sunday of the Liturgical Year


Next Friday, 13th June is the feast of St. Anthony of Padua.


Hence forward, at least till the end of the Liturgical year and in keeping with the year of the WORD OF GOD, it is our desire that all the parishioners hear and follow the readings from the Bibles provided. In this way, we hope you will be familiar at least with the New Testament readings, since this year we follow the Cycle ‘A’ for the Sunday readings and year 2 for the week day readings, which are all from New Testament.


The Youth Prayer Group of our Parish is organizing a Gospel Music Talent Hunt, open to all our Parishioners and neighbouring Parishes tomorrow / today, 8th of June 2008 at Don Bosco School Hall from 6.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.


The DBYM of our parish will be organizing the Inter-zonal Rink football and Throw ball Tournament this Sunday, 8th June, 2008, beginning at 9.00 a.m.


At the Annual General Body Meeting of the Bombay Catholic Sabha of our parish unit, there will be an award presented to the model youth of the year and to a model business man / professional of the year. Kindly pick up the nomination forms from the parish office. The Annual General Body Meeting of the Bombay Catholic Sabha will be held on Sunday 29th June, 2008.


St. Francis D’Assisi Junior College, Mount Poinsur, Borivli West, will be introducing co-education in the Jr. College section ( Science & Commerce streams ) from this academic year 2008 – 09.


The Parish Council will meet today, 7th June, after the evening Mass.


The Bible Cell will meet tomorrow / today, after the evening Mass


There will be a meeting of all the Sunday School Catechists on next Sunday, 15th June, after the 9.15 a.m. Mass.


The Youth Group will meet on next Sunday 15th June, after the 9.15 a.m. Mass.


The SVP will be making their usual 2nd Sunday collection after all the Masses.


Thanks to Mrs. Angela Pinto and her team from Jayraj ‘B’ zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.


Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Mrs. Jenny D’mello and her team from L. T. Road 7 Chandavarakar Road.
