1^st Sunday of Lent.

Tomorrow / today is the first Sunday of Lent. This day is also the World day of the sick. Please try to bring those who are disabled and homebound to Mass at 5.30 p.m. tomorrow / today. Those of you who have vehicles kindly make them available for the same.

Monday, 11^th February is the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes.

The way of the Cross in English will be held on all Fridays in the Lenten Season, after the evening Mass. Way of the Cross in Konkani will be held on every Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. followed by the Holy Eucharist.

This year the Archdiocese focuses on the ‘WORD OF GOD’. Please make sure that every home has a BIBLE and that each family and every individual spend some time in reading the BIBLE.

St. John Bosco’s Church presents a 4 days Lenten Outreach programme, entitled “FESTIVAL OF GRACE”. The details are given in the hand bills that will be distributed after all the Masses. A detailed programme of Holy Week and house blessings will be given to you later.

We thank all the Parishioners for taking an active part in the Bosco Nite. It was nice to see the old becoming young again, enjoying in the gaiety, fun and frolic with colourful costumes and an active participation in the event.

Livelihood Advancement Business School (L.A.B.S.) is conducting various carrier oriented courses in Don Bosco School from 25^th Feb. 2008. The courses are customer care services, Hospitality and Patient Care services. For details please see the notice board.

The Parish Council Members will be approaching you with an appeal letter for Lenten Mission entitled FESTIVAL OF GRACE that will take place in our premises. We appeal to your generosity for contribution.

The Parish Council will meet tomorrow / today, after the 9.15 a.m. Mass.

The SVP members will be making their usual second Sunday collection after all the Masses.

The Bible Cell will meet tomorrow / today after the evening Mass.

Thanks to Mrs. Valentine Pinto and her team from Yogi South, B, zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.

Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Miss Jennifer Gonsalves and her team from Babhai zone.
