24^th Sunday of the Liturgical Year

Monday 15^th September is the feast of Our Lady of the sorrows.

Tomorrow / today, we shall be having the Rite of Initiation for our Catechumens who are preparing for Baptism, during the 5.30 p.m. Mass.

Senior citizens, who have registered their names for the pilgrimage to Mount Mary, Bandra, should report at 7.30 a.m. at Don Bosco premises on Monday, 15^th September.

Next Sunday, 21^st September, the Don Bosco Youth movement, Borivli is presenting a youth programme, entitled, “Youth Alive”. The theme is Living Youthfully”. This programme is for the youth from all Salesian Parishes and the parishes of the Borivli Deanery. The highlights of the programme are, Holy Mass, Audio Visual presentation, input session and some entertainment. Entry to this programme is by invitation only.

The Bombay Catholic Sabha has instituted prizes for the children of our parish who have secured the highest marks in Std. X and XII Arts, Science and Commerce. There will be two prizes in each category. Kindly submit your mark sheet and telephone number to Miss Agnes D’costa, latest by 25^th September 2008. The prizes will be distributed on 5^th Oct. during the 9.30 a.m. Mass.

Pre-baptismal course for parents to be will be held on 4^th, 5^th, 11^th and 12^th of October 2008. Please, register your name at the parish office.

Those who want to buy the Bible Diaries, there are still about 50 diaries available for spot purchase.

Thanks to Mrs. Valentine Pinto and her team from Yogi South “B” zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.

Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Miss Jennifer Gonsalves and her team from Babhai zone.

• We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our sponsors / benefactors, who have generously contributed towards the celebration of the feast of Nativity of our Blessed Mother.

• Thanks also to all those who were kind enough to devote some time in decorating Mother Mary’s Statue, flower arrangements etc.

• We appreciate the services rendered by the Eucharistic Ministers, during the Novena days as well as on the feast day.

• As usual, the ushers did a great job in the smooth conduct of the celebration.

• The people behind the sound system also did a marvelous job as the sound was audible even to the people standing outside the church.

• Thanks to Fr. Allwyn for organizing the children’s Prayer meeting and fellowship which the children enjoyed very much.
