11th Sunday of the Liturgical Year


The Sunday School will commence from next Sunday 22nd of June, 2008.

In view of what was decided last year for the convenience of all, there will be a slight change in the Sunday morning Mass timings. From next Sunday onwards, the Mass timings will be as follows:

7.00 a.m.

8.15 a.m.

9.30 a.m. and

5.30 p.m. will remain as usual.


We congratulate the ‘Praise Adoni Youth Group’ for organizing the Gospel Music talent hunt. It was an enriching experience to see the youth spreading the Word of God, through Gospel Music.


“Praise Adoni Youth Cell” under the spiritual guidance of Fr. Allwyn Misquitta is beginning a “Children’s Prayer Cell” The first meeting will be held on Saturday, 21st June and will be held every Saturday from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.


Next Sunday 22nd June, is ‘Laity Sunday’. During the 9.30 a.m. Mass, we shall have the commissioning of Lay Leaders of the different Cells / groups /Movements in our parish.


At the Annual General Body Meeting of the Bombay Catholic Sabha of our parish unit, there will be an award presented to the model youth of the year and to a model business man / professional of the year. Kindly pick up the nomination forms from the parish office. The last day for submission of your form is 21st June, 2008. The Annual General Body Meeting of the Bombay Catholic Sabha will be held on Sunday 29th June, 2008.


Catholic students who wish to pursue their higher studies in the Catholic Institutions, under the minority quota, need to present a letter from their respective Parishes. In this connection you are requested to collect your letter well in advance rather than waiting for the last moment.


It will be nice if some of you could subscribe to the Don Bosco family Magazine. The annual subscription is Rs. 120/- only. Being a Salesian Parish, it would help us to be aware of events that take place in the Salesian World. Those who would like to subscribe, kindly give your name and the amount to the Parish Office.


The yogi North zone will celebrate their Annual Thanksgiving Mass followed by get-together and fellowship on next Sunday 22nd June at 5.30 p.m.


There will be a meeting of all the Sunday School Catechists tomorrow / today, after the 9.15 a.m. Mass.

The Youth Group will meet tomorrow / today, after the 9.15 a.m. Mass.


We are pleased to announce the winners of the Inter-zonal Rink football and Throwball tournament which was held on last Sunday, 8th June 08. The winners are:

Rink football: 1st place goes to New MHB Colony and the runners up Old MHB Colony.

Throw ball : 1st place goes to Jayraj Nagar and the runners up Gorai II.

Kindly collect your prizes from the Parish Office.


Parish Priest will be away for the Provincial Council meeting from 17th to 21st June 08.


Thanks to Mrs. Jenny D’Mello and her team from L.T. Road zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.


Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Miss Agnes D’Costa and her team from New MHB Colony ‘A’ zone.

Thursday 19th June, Eksar, at the residence of Mrs. Estella Jacques

Friday 20th June, L.T. Road, at the residence of Mr. Melville Mascarenhas
