20th Sunday of the Liturgical Year


Friday, 22nd August 2008, is the feast of Queenship of Mother Mary.


Tuesday, 19th August, there will be a recollection, organized by the Divine Mercy Archdiocesan Committee. The theme of the recollection will be “Living the Message of Divine Mercy”. The recollection will be animated by Fr. Allwyn Misquitta, who is the Spiritual Director of the Divine Mercy Service in the Borivli Deanery. The recollection will be held in our church from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Those interested in attending the recollection, kindly register your names with Mr. Patrick Corda and collect a coupon for tea & snacks which is free of cost.


Tomorrow/today there will be a meeting of all parents of children who are preparing to receive first Holy Communion at 9.30 a.m.


From today onwards we shall be reciting the prayer for vocation, after every Mass. You will find a copy of the same kept in the Bibles that are placed in the Church.


Novena in honour of Velankanni Mata will begin at Bhate bundar Shrine, Uttan from Friday 29th August 2008. Meaningful homilies will be preached on ‘THE WORD OF GOD’ during all the novena Masses. The feast Mass on Monday 8th September 2008 will be presided over by Bishop Edwin Colaco. All are cordially invited.


Praise Adoni prayer group of St. John Bosco Church is organizing a Youth Prayer Meet on the theme of “Seeking Justice” on Thursday, 28th August 2008 at 7.00 p.m. at Don Bosco. For details look up the Notice Board or pick up a handbill at the reception.


Parents Day photos are displayed on the notice board. Those interested in having a copy kindly contact the Parish Office.


The Bible Cell will meet tomorrow / today after the evening Mass in hall No. I


Thanks to Mrs. Yvonne Menezes and her team from Yogi North, “C” zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.


Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Mrs. Claudina Pinto and her team from Yogi North ‘D’ zone.

Thursday, 21st August, Eksar, at the residence of Mrs. Mary Parmar

Friday, 22nd August, L.T. Road, at the residence of Mrs. Tessie Chacko.
