3^rd Sunday of Lent.

Tomorrow / today is the Third Sunday of Lent.

We thank Fr. Allwyn and his team for conducting the Konkani Mission on last Tuesday.

Our Lenten Mission entitled Festival of Grace will be conducted on 28^th & 29^th February and 1^st & 2^nd March 2008. You can attend the entire mission but on 1^st of March the focus will be on children and on 2^nd March on youth. On all the days the Mass will be included as part of the Mission, except on Sunday 2^nd March, you are requested to attend the Mass at your respective Parishes.

The Parish Council Members will be approaching you with an appeal letter for Lenten Mission entitled FESTIVAL OF GRACE that will take place in our premises. We appeal to your generosity for contribution.

(For Saturday Mass only) The Bombay Catholic Sabha will be organizing a Candle light Vigil in support of the agitation against the proposed SEZ at Gorai-Uttan belt and also against the atrocities against Christian Minorities all over India. All parishioners are requested to assemble at the entrance of the Church with a lighted candle, immediately after this Mass

Tomorrow / today there will be a meeting for all Sunday School Teachers after the 9.15 a.m. Mass.

Don Bosco Youth Services, Matunga, is having a Night Vigil for the youth on Saturday 8^th March, 2008 from 9.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. of Sunday 9^th March, at the Shrine of Don Bosco’s Madonna, Matunga. The Theme for the Vigil is “Follow The Jesus Crossword”. All the youth are invited. There is no charge for participation.

Don Bosco Youth Services, Matunga is also offering “YOUTH PASCH 2008” for working girls and boys, above the age of 22, from Wednesday the 19^th of March to Easter Sunday the 23^rd of March, 2008 at Don Bosco, Lonavla. Registration forms of the same are available at the office of Don Bosco Youth Services, from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. You may also request for registration forms via E-Mail. The last date for registration is 12^th March, 2008.

Admissions are open to Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education Course

(ECCE) – A pre primary teachers training course at St. Xavier’s Institute of Education. For further details please see the notice board.

Bosco Boys Home has a department for A/C, Refrigeration and Window A/C repairs and maintenance. They would like to offer their services to the parishioners of Don Bosco, Borivli. They have a very capable Mechanic with 9 years experience in this field.

They offer free maintenance of (a) All types of refrigerators (b) All types of window A/C’s. They will charge only if any part needs to be replaced with the permission of the client. Parishioners can avail of this opportunity only from 1^st March to 30^th April.

Bosco Beams, our Parish Bulletin is ready for distribution. Parish Council members are requested to collect their copies from the Parish Office.

The Bible Cell will meet tomorrow / today after the evening Mass.

Thanks to Mr. Agnelo Dias and his team from Eksar, A, zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.

Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Mr. Cyril Miranda and his team from Eksar, B, zone.

Last Sunday’s collection was Rs.17,385/- God bless you for your generosity.
