30th Sunday of the Liturgical Year


Saturday, 1st November is all saints day.

Sunday, 2nd November is all souls day. On this day we shall be having the 8.15 a.m. Mass also. In the evening at 5.30, there will be a Mass in the Cemetery followed by blessing of Graves. We shall also have 5.30 p.m. Mass as usual in the church.


A golden opportunity to get to know the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ through the Bible Awareness Week to be held in our Parish from 2nd November to 9th November, 2008. The programme will consist of celebration of Eucharist with a homily followed by a programme of one and a half hour after the Mass. Let us pray for the success of the Bible Awareness Week. There will also be an exhibition on the Bible right through the week.


We would like to thank all the animators who took time off to take our children for the Mission Camp to Talasery and also those who helped in the Confirmation Retreat. I think both the groups had an enriching and Spiritual experience.


We would like to take this occasion also to thank all those who, in some way or the other have volunteered to be of service during the Mission Fete. The amount collected will be announced next Sunday after finalizing our accounts.


Please pray for Fr. Salu, Fr. Bosco and Fr. Allwyn who are going to Lonavla for their personal retreats. They will be there till the 31st of October.


On 28th October, there will be a seminar conducted by the Archdiocesan Board of Education at St. Andrew’s Auditorium, Bandra, from 10 a.m. to 1.p.m. The Topic is “Perceiving the Educational Horizon”. It would deal with questions like:

What are the options available for my child?

Is there any Alternative to regular college?

Do we have Catholic Institutions with Degree Courses?

Is there a possibility that my child gets into a prescribed, sought after Computer Institute?

Are there vocational courses which have a high demand as regards employment? Etc. etc.

Those interested in attending, may give their names to the parish office. Those who intend to attend this seminar, should be able to communicate the knowledge acquired, either at the zonal meetings, PPC or any other group that might have questions in this regard.


The Cancer Patients Aid Association will be having a gate collection today / tomorrow, after all the Masses. Kindly cooperate with them.


The English and Hindi Groups of the Bible Cell will meet tomorrow / today, after the evening Mass.

The Parish Council will meet on Next Saturday, 1st November, after the evening Mass.


Thanks to Mr. Robert Machado and his team from Gorai I “A” zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.


Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Mrs. Delsie D’silva and her team from Gorai I “C” zone.


Last Sunday’s collection was Rs. 40,230/-. God bless you for your generosity.
