17th Sunday of the Liturgical Year


On the occasion of the feast of St. Joachim and Anne, the parents of Our Lady, I would like to wish all our parents a very happy Parents Day. In the challenging times in which we live, may God bless all of you, for your hard work, generosity, zeal, understanding and above all for the virtue of patience. At 10.45 a.m. we shall have a cultural programme in the school hall to felicitate you.

On 28th of July, we keep a memory of Blessed Alphonsa. She will be shortly declared as Saint and will be the first Indian to have reached the heights of Sainthood.


The 1st of August is the First Friday of the month. There will be adoration service as usual, in the evening.


On Next Sunday, 3rd August, there will be a meeting of the heads of Lay Associations. The Theme will be “RESOLVING CONFLICT ………… THE PAULINE WAY”. All the concerned individuals have received a personal invitation and hence are aware of the details.


From the 3rd of August, 2008, we shall begin the Sunday School for Std. X students. The morning batch will be at the normal time, i.e. after the children’s Mass. The evening batch will begin at 4.30 p.m. They can attend the Mass thereafter.


The Bible Cell will meet tomorrow / today after the evening Mass


The Parish Council will meet on next Saturday 2nd August, after the evening Mass.


Cardinal Oswald Gracias has sent a small prayer for rain, which will be recited at the end of all Masses.


Bosco Boys Home is starting a refrigeration and Air conditioning course in collaboration with Voltas – India. In case any of you have any old refrigerators or air conditioners that you want to discard, they will only be too happy to receive them, so that the students can receive their initial training, before they move on to new machines.


Thanks to Mrs. Sylvia Kelly and her team from Vazira, “A” zone for cleaning the Church this Saturday.


Next Saturday, the cleaning of the Church will be done by Mr. Blaise Gomes and his team from Yogi North ‘A’ zone.


Last Sunday’s collection was Rs.17,674/- God bless you for your generosity.
