6TH RINK FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The Don Bosco Youth Movement, Borivli is organizing it's 6th RINK FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT at the Don Bosco grounds from 12th to 16th November 2008, under floodlights.

Categories:

1. Open (Entry Rs. 1000/-)
2. Vetrans - 40 yrs & above (Entry Rs.1000/-) 8 teams only
3. Girls (Entry Rs. 500/-) 8 teams only
4. Boys under 16 (Entry Rs. 500/-) 16 teams only
5. Corporates - 36 teams only

Entries will be accepted at the reception, Don Bosco school.

Rules for Rink Football

1. A team will consist of 5 players and 5 reserves. Change of players can be made at any given time.
2. Line-up has to be submitted 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the game.
3. Players must wear canvas / keds. Boots will not be allowed.
4. The ball must never rise above the shoulder level, except in the striking area.
5. Goals can be scored only from within the striking area.
6. Sideline kicks will be along the ground.
7. Duration of play will be 15 min. each way. Semi Final and Finals will be 20 min. each way.
8. In case the match is tied at the end of regulation time, the tie breaker will be made applicable.
9. If any player or team official is found to be in heated arguments with the referee or the technical committee, it could result in the team being disqualified from the tournament.
10. Teams will also be responsible for the behaviour of their supporters at the venue. If the fans of any team invade the field of play, damage any property or behave in any unruly manner, the team whom they support will be banned from participating in the rest of the tournament and from all future tournaments.
11. The decision of the organizing committee in all matters will be final and binding.
12. Protests, if any, can be lodged within 15 min. at the end of the game with a fee of Rs.500/- which will be refunded if the protest is upheld.
13. Above all, the game is to be played in a true sportsman spirit.
